Remember the Metaverse?
It was super-over-hyped. Hysteria, really. Mark Zuckerberg put more than 50 billion USD into “metaverse”.
50-70 billion USD.
I’m gonna have to repeat that:
50-70 billion USD. For “Metaverse”.
And that was just a few years ago (!). Like 4 years ago (it was in October 2021).
Zuckerberg poured all of that money into nothing. Where is Meta’s Metaverse today?
NOWHERE.
But, but, but, now, it’s AI that is supposed to “change everything”.
Now, suddenly, Mark Zuckerberg knows “AI”? The same Mark Zuckerberg that JUST WASTED 70+ billion USD on “Metaverse”.

And, do you remember “agents”?
Yeah, they don’t work either. And those were marketed heavy just last year.
Now, we hear the news of Salesforce’s market projections; they are not expecting any growth from AI this year…
What?
Just recently they announced their transformation into an “AI Agentic” company. What happened with all those amazing agents that were going to increase sales and profits?
Yeah, nothing. Just like “Metaverse”.
Google’s Sundar Pichai and OpenAI’s Sam Altman were both straight up lying about what agents will be able to do, when they talked about it, only last year. Today, they are rather quiet on “agents”. Because they had no clue about the future. But they pretended like they did. Maybe they even believed themselves?
So, we can conclude that VCs have no clue about the future or what to invest in. Including Zuckerberg. If you’ve put your money into “AI” you’ve probably lost it all, or will soon.
Because there is no Artificial Intelligence. There are only LLMs.
They are snake oil salesmen. It’s all BS. Pure AI PR BS.
How about thinking for yourself for a moment? Yes, “metaverse”, “blockchain” and “AI” can be useful for certain specific things, but they are not “changing everything”. Stablecoins are nice, virtual environments are nice, an LLM translating or spell-checking your text is nice. But it does not “change everything”.
And Jony Ive is not going to “solve AI”, with a new box.
Won’t happen. How could it?
It’s all marketing lies about the future.
Nobody knows what’s going to happen in the future. Nobody.
I don’t think it matters much though. It’s like Paul Graham said: “Truth is the best marketing. For smart people. Dumb people prefer lies.”
So, people will continue to believe in the lies, because they are more enticing. It’s boring to hear that AI won’t change everything.
Elon stole the masterplan from the real founders of Tesla. Mark stole Facebook from the real founders of Facebook. Sam stole OpenAI from a nonprofit that Elon was also involved in. They are all con men and scam artists. The biggest, richest scam artists in the world. Telling you their lies constantly.
The latest lie is Sam Altman saying we’ll soon “see the first one-person-billion-dollar-company”. Yeah, right.
An LLM is mainly a regurgitation machine for online content. Is online content trustworthy? No.
So, don’t fall for it. AI won’t do your job for you. Don’t believe the hype, or the VC. And don’t blindly believe the AI:s statements. They are often completely wrong.

P.S. I am a conscious human being with opinions. You need to be conscious to have an opinion. “AI” is not conscious and, I argue, can never be. It’s a delusion.
